Everybody keeps asking, so ew thought we would tell you. Dann is playing with Ugly Cassanova and Modest Mouse. Derek is playing with Pretty Girls Make Graves. Nate, Coady, Spencer are now called Dead Low Tide. Mike Kunka from godheadSilo and Enemymine plays bass. I am touring with them, and so is Merchbot 2000.

Well we wanted to make sure a few things were very clear.
The tour is going to happen. We will be making it to ever show on that is listed in the tour section. Derek will be on this tour with us, so come out and enjoy it with us.
We sent out most of the street team stuff to people that said they would like to help. If you would like to help check out www.murdercitydevils.com/street_team.html. You will find handbills that you can download and print out to help us publicize the shows and spread the word. If you do decide to help, please make sure that you don't do anything to get yourself into trouble or make a bad name for us or yourselves.
This will be the last tour that we do as The Murder City Devils.
News Update Septmeber 17, 2001
hey everybody,
I am very sorry to say that a lot of the rumors going around right now are
true. Leslie has left the band, moving out of seattle this past weekend.
This has left the band in a sort of limbo, and the reason that we have not
said anything, is that we were not really sure what was going to happen. We
wanted to make sure we knew what was going on before we said anything.
This October tour will be completed with our friend, old merch guy, and
drummer of Pretty Girls Make Graves, Nick DeWitt will be filling in for
Leslie. We have decided that then it would be best if The Murder City Devils, as they
currently exsist no longer continued. Derek is going to concentrate on
Pretty Girls Make Graves. The rest of us, will continue together, the
details however have not been figured out.
We hope you understand that we were not trying to fuck with anybody or keep
anybody in the dark, but this has been all we have known for the last 5
years and trying to figure out what was going on takes a while.

The new record is called "Thelema" it came out Sept 4th in the US and Canada on Sub Pop, and should be available in Europe, already.
Just added three sets of photos from; Bumbershoot 1999, Cleveland Warped Tour 2001, and Nottingham Boat House 2000, to the Galleries Section. We will be adding more photos as we get them. If you have photos, please feel free to send them on it.
Welcome to our new website, buddyhead built it. We like it as much as Travis likes sweaty buff guys rubbing hot oil all over his body. Which, if you didn't know, is a hell of a lot.
We everybody, the tour section has the newest and most up to date tour information you can find anywhere. Take a look!
Just wanted to send a shout out to the boys at Scorpion Studios in Houston Texas, for setting us all up with tattoos the other day. They are an awesome shop. Making them and Chrome Ohm Studios in Seattle the two tattoo shops that we love and keep close to our hearts.
