By now, Four Rooms has come and gone. Hope you enjoyed it more than most of the critics seemed to - I know I did. Did anyone happen to see the Vertigogo video anywhere?

As you probably know, our new album Schizophonic! is due out on February 27. A six-weeks-or-so US tour will follow, and a European adventure is possible after that. Watch this space for tour dates, which I'll send out as soon as I get them (of course, I usually don't get them until the tour is half over).

I'm in the (perpetual) process of updating the web pages at www.subpop.com - if anyone has anything they'd like to see there, let me know. New adds will include the (short) story of Vertigogo and it's Oscar eligibility (including the official lyrics!), more from Miss Tamara, an updated Links page with links that actually point to things, and sound samples from "Schizophonic!" that work. No guarantees on that last one, though. By the time I figure it out, you'll be able to buy the record.

From the Things That Make Us Cranky Department: a sharp-eyed friend pointed out that the ad in a recent Spin magazine for the new Rhino records exotica compilations featured the recipe for the Edisonian cocktail, as appears on the back of I, Swinger. No name for the drink, and no attribution to us. The Millionaire, who personally invented the Edisonian, is miffed. Although (we've been told) drink recipes are not copyrightable, we would have appreciated a thanks, or at least a few copies of the records! Sheesh.

Those of you in the Boston/Providence area should keep a sharp look-out for upcoming appearances; the only confirmed date I can distribute is the March 1 benefit for the Brattle Theater in Harvard Square, which will feature both CE and the film Playtime. Call the Brattle for more information. There will probably be a few others before the tour starts. Again, as we get more appearances confirmed I'll let you all know. That's my promise to you.
